Events at Webelos Woods Parents and Leaders You have questions about the next step into Boy Scouting? This year we will have several classes for the leaders and parents. The first Class will be "Webelos to Scouting" orientation. This class will help answer the questions you have on what should "I expect when my son bridges to Boy Scouts". We will explain the difference between Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. How do I as a parent fit in the "Boy Scout Way"? What is the "Patrol Method" and a "Boy Run Troop"? Unlike Cub Scouting where the Den or Webelos Leaders control all advancement, in Boy Scouts advancement is in the hands of each individual Scout. We will also explain what is expected of parents in the typical Boy Scout troop, and also what your son should expect to experience during his time in Boy Scouting. The second class will be Outdoor Cooking, the easy way! This class will be taught by Bob Hall. He will teach some of his secrets for feeding large groups and the proper use and easy use of Dutch ovens. Bob has cooked for this district for over 15 years and has become a legend in the kitchen. If you plan on cooking for a pack or troop this is a class you will not want to miss!
