The Author

I am a committed Christian and live in North Orange County California with my wife. I have four children and three grandchildren. My BA degree is in political science and business administration. During the late 1960s I was in the United States Navy and served in Vietnam. I have studied theology at several online schools including Calvary Chapel Bible College. My occupation is in the maritime industry and my wife and I enjoy riding our motorcycles and foreign travel.

My parents brought me up in the Christian Science church and The Bible was part of my life from early childhood. It took more than 40 years for God to finally show me that I had been deceived by false teaching and needed a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Since then I have firmly committed myself to discovering God’s will for me and putting it into practice. This includes thoroughly studying God’s Word, asking the Holy Spirit to give me understanding, comparing Scripture with Scripture and filtering everything I see and hear through the lens of The Bible.

Before I received God’s Free Gift of Eternal Life there were many issues with my job, family, financial and personal life. I had few friends and was definitely on the wrong track. I was firmly focused on what I wanted to do and was living a very prideful, selfish and unfulfilled life. Name any difficulty a man can face and I can probably say: “Been there, done that, got the T-shirt!”

Now that I have a personal relationship with Jesus I have many friends, my home life has improved dramatically and I’m not worried about finances. When problems surface I know who to turn to for solutions. I have fully experienced the words to the familiar song: “I once was lost but now am found…” These changes have come through the power of the Holy Spirit working in my life. The best thing of all is that I know for certain that God has a place in Heaven reserved for me!

My desire is for everyone to know the truth about Jesus Christ and God’s Free Gift of Eternal Life. In an attempt to communicate best with those who may not fully understand about Jesus I have primarily written in a “freehand” style without using a lot of church jargon. Every concept I have written about is solidly based in Scripture. I have kept footnotes and references to a minimum. The exception to this concept is the “Jesus Christ” page which is adapted from one of my college research papers.
